Undergraduate Mock Interview Marathon
~ Participant Guidelines ~

It's important to practice your interview skills, especially in today's increasingly competitive job market. With that in mind, we have planned two Undergraduate Mock Interview Marathons for the academic year. The Mock Marathon is intended to complete your interview preparation. We strongly encourage you to conduct appropriate career and industry research and participate in the related interview and industry workshops scheduled throughout the year.

WINTER 2008 MOCK INTERVIEW MARATHON
(open to all undergraduates preparing for internship or job interviews)

Dates: January 30 and 31
Time: 12:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: OCS Recruiting Facility, 1414 Mass. Ave. (second floor, above Bank of America)

TO REGISTER:

• Sign up through the On-Campus Recruiting Program. Check the Recruiting Office web site for details on how and when to register.
• Once you have registered for On-Campus Recruiting, you may sign-up for a mock interview through eRecruiting.com. Sign-ups for mock interviews begin Thursday, January 24, 2008.
• Follow the same sign-up, change, and cancellation procedures that apply to the On-Campus Recruiting Program. Click here for more detailed instructions and policies.
• TO FIND MOCK INTERVIEW SIGN-UPS ON THE ONLINE RECRUITING SYSTEM, SEARCH FOR "MOCK INTERVIEW."
• Select ONE mock interview from a choice of available interview styles. If you do not see an opening for the type of mock you are seeking, please continue to check back as new schedules open.
• Due to the high demand, we can offer only one mock interview per student each academic year (either during the marathon or with an OCS Counselor).

THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW:

• As you would for a “real” interview, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your interview and expect that your interview may run late.
• You can expect a thirty-minute mock interview with feedback. Interviewers include employers, HBS and other graduate students, or OCS counselors. Consulting “Case” interviews will run 45 minutes.
• Please dress for your mock interview as you would for your real interview. Students consistently report that wearing their interview suit brings reality to the practice session and enhances the experience.
