Dan Scherlis: September 27

Consulting Executive Producer & Market Strategist (Games & Social Media)

Dan Scherlis (Harvard College ’81 and HBS ’86) has 19 years of experience creating online communities and virtual-world games. As CEO of Turbine, he produced the successful massively-multiplayer game (MMO) Asheron’s Call, published by Microsoft. Dan then directed content and partnerships for a games initiative within mobile giant Comverse. His background includes game publishing (Papyrus), online publishing and community (Ziff/ATT Interchange), and cable TV (HBO).
 

Ed Durso: October 18

Executive Vice-President of ESPN (Sports Management)

Ed Durso (Harvard College '75) is Executive Vice-President of ESPN. An all-Ivy League shortstop, Ed distinguished himself during the College World Series of '73 and ’74. Hear his wonderful story of being a Harvard student in the 70s and how he rose up the ladder at ESPN, with a career spanning over 20 years.

Corrine Vitolo, Harvard alum and CEO of SmartSports, Inc., is founder of one of the nation's first sports management firms. She is leading the development of quantitative technology systems to measure athletic performance for the professional, collegiate, and amateur sports market, and has authored white papers on fan development in the NFL, NBA, and MLB; business development; and emerging technology and law challenges.
