What is UCAN?
UCAN (the University Career Action Network) is a consortium of 19 schools from across the country, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of San Francisco, Emory, and Tulane. UCAN developed the “Internship Exchange” with the mission of providing resources and tools to help students identify a variety of career and internship opportunities. The UCAN database of internship listings, available to Harvard students gives students access to over 10,000 internships across a wide range of industries and geographic locations.
Self-Registration
- To access the UCAN internship postings, students must set up an account with UCAN at the following link: https://ucan-csm.symplicity.com/students.
- Please note that you must set up your account with your @fas.harvard.edu email account. Alumni must use their @post.harvard.edu email accounts.
- Once you have registered, your secure password will be emailed to your @fas or @post address.
Searching for UCAN Internships
- From the Student Home Page, select the "Internships" tab at the top of the page. This will bring you to the "Job Postings" page where you can begin to search for internships.
- Under "Position Type," select "Internship-Paid" or Internship-Unpaid."
- For more detailed searches, click on the "Advanced Search" tab.
Applying to UCAN Internships
- Application instructions for internships posted through UCAN are available on the "How to Apply" box on the right hand side of the screen.
- Students can view the required application materials and the appropriate contact information or web site where materials can be submitted.
