Job interviews are often a very stressful part of the job search process. OCS has designed a
number of workshops to help you prepare including:
- Going to Academic Market
- Preparing for conference interviews
- Preparing for campus interviews
The GSAS counselors also offer individual mock interviews. Students may sign up for mock interviews at the front desk or by phone; they should plan well in advance, as these appointments are often difficult to schedule and students are eligible for only one mock interview per academic year. Students must follow the protocol for a mock interview: drop off a resume or CV at least 24 hours in advance and bring another copy to the interview; dress appropriately; prepare for the interview; and be punctual. Students are strongly encouraged to attend an interview workshop prior to scheduling a mock interview.
