Woong Hwan Bae, 2007, (Biochemistry) assisted with inpatient care and other clinic activities at the Bairo Pite Clinic in Dili, East Timor.

Nancy Cheng, 2007, (Biochemical Sciences) worked in the microbiology lab of Josep Casadesus, Professor of Genetics at the University of Sevilla in Spain.

Sakura Christmas, 2007, (East Asian Studies and History) produced editorial cartoons in collaboration with other editorial cartoonists at the Asia Foundation in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

Rachel Greenblatt, 2007, (Neurobiology) worked in the molecular biology laboratory of Professor Alberto Kornblihtt at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. She investigated alternative gene splicing as it relates to neuronal development.

May Habib, 2007, (Social Studies) worked with the Microfund for Women in Amman, Jordan. She worked with the operations department conducting market studies and collecting data from the field.

Jayme Herschkopf, 2006, (Religion and English) worked as an intern for the Sydney Jewish Museum in Australia. She archived collections, developed temporary exhibitions, and redesigned a section of the museum.

Robert Jellinek, 2007, (Slavic Studies) worked with the Institute for Stock Market and Management in Moscow, Russia. He conducted research on the Russian stock market and assisted with the development of training programs.

Jinu Koola, 2007, (Social Studies) conducted research on institutional development and the role of media for CIPPEC in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then, as a case study, conducted fieldwork at EMCOP in Peru.

Elena Krieger, 2006, (Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics) is designing energy-efficient stoves for Ecofogão in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She is pursuing her internship during the fall semester.

Elizabeth Linos, 2007, (Government) worked as an intern at the Centro de Investigación Economica de la Universidad San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru.

Christine Mikolajuk, 2007, (Government) worked as an intern at the Paris bureau of Newsweek in France. She wrote and researched articles and conducted interviews.

Jennifer Morse, 2007, (History and Literature) assisted the Sharing Foundation with their work in Roteang Village in Cambodia. She developed a music and English program at a local school and helped the Foundation with other projects at an associated orphanage.

Michael Muldoon, 2007, (Psychology) traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil to work with the Lumiar Institute. He worked as an English language “Master” at a local elementary school that is operated by the Institute.

Elizabeth Panarelli, 2007, (Biological Anthropology) is working as an English teacher at the MaaSae Girls Lutheran Secondary School in Monduli, Tanzania. She is pursuing her internship during the fall semester.

Yeunbee Jeanette Park, 2007, (Economics) traveled to Tula, Mexico to work with ProMujer, a non-profit microfinance group that provides loans to low-income women throughout Latin America. She evaluated the performance of their offices and helped them to improve the quality of their client service.

Ravi Ramchandani, 2007, (History, Sanskrit and Indian Studies) worked as a human rights intern for the South Asia Human Rights Documentation Centre in New Delhi, India. He conducted research and interviews, and wrote reports.

Steve Rivera, 2007, (History of Art and Architecture) interned with a curator at the Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, a contemporary art museum in Mexico City, Mexico. He researched and organized upcoming exhibitions.

Nicole Rosner, 2007, (VES and German Cultural Studies) worked at the Caracas Urban Think Tank, an architecture and urban planning NGO in Venezuela. She assisted with their current projects and case studies.

Ashley Shuyler, 2007, (Social Studies) is teaching English at the MaaSae Girls Lutheran Secondary School in Monduli, Tanzania. She is pursuing her internship during the fall semester.

Sam Simon, 2006, (Social Studies) traveled to London, England to work for Vision Machine, a filmmaking cooperative working on human rights abuses. He helped catalog interviews and other materials related to the 1965 Indonesian genocide, and edited text for an upcoming book.

Chris Skarinka, 2007, (Social Studies) worked as a trainee in the Finance Department of the Fresh Dairy Products Worldwide Business Unit of Danone Group in Paris, France.

Annelise Sterne, 2007, (Biochemistry) was an intern in the laboratory of Doctora Teresa Miras-Portugal at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. She conducted neuroscience research.

Firas-Eugen Taso, 2006, (Economics) worked as an intern at PlaNet Finance in Paris, France. He assisted them with projects in development economics and microfinance.

Clayton Thomas, 2006, (History and Literature) was an intern at the law firm of Haworth and Lexon in Shanghai, China.

Meghan Tieu, 2007, (Economics) was an intern with the Population and Development Strategies division of the UN Population Fund in Hanoi, Vietnam. She focused on projects involving women empowerment and sustainable socioeconomic development policies.

Daniel Wilner, 2007, (Literature) was an intern with the French theatre company, Continent II, in Paris, France. His work included script revision and acting.

Michelle Yang, 2007, (Biology) worked with Professor Yoshihisa Shirayama at the Seto Marine Biological Laboratory in Shirahama, Japan. She examined and described the biodiversity of marine nematodes.

Alberta Yen, 2007, (Biology, MBB) worked with Dr. Bernard Lakowski in his neuroscience laboratory at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, France. She conducted research on Alzheimer’s disease.

Fang Yuan, 2007, (Social Studies) traveled to Singapore to work for Youth Challenge and the Young Leaders Foundation, two non-profit organizations dedicated to youth.

Evelyn Zwiebach, 2007, (English and American Literature, Social Anthropology) was an intern at Folha de Sao Paulo, a newspaper in Brazil. She conducted research on the Afro-Brazilian religion, Candomble.
