Leah Aylward, 2003, (Environmental Science and Public Policy) worked in Costa Rica for the Foundation of Sustainable Development where she focused on projects concerning air quality.

Jonathan Burton-MacLeod, 2002, (Biology) assisted the World Health Organization (WHO) with projects dedicated to polio eradication in Kathmandu, Nepal.

David DeBartolo, 2003, (Government) worked as an intern with Fraser Kemp, an MP in the British Parliament in London, England.

Olga Fedorischeva, 2003, (Government) traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to work with the United Nations Institute on Disarmament Research. She worked on a number of projects, including a small arms control research project as well as one focusing on disarmament difficulties in the Russian Federation.

Emi Fong, 2002, (Economics) secured an internship with the International Herald Tribune in Paris, France where she worked in the Business Development and New Media department as well as the Accounting department.

Cathleen Greenzang, 2003, (Neurobiology) traveled to Dublin, Ireland to study schizophrenia with Dr. Jogin Thakore, a prominent Irish psychiatrist. She observed clinical rounds, attended home visits, and designed and executed a research project.

Olivia Hung, 2003, (Chemistry) worked in an inorganic chemistry lab at the University of Oxford in England. She assisted Dr. Simon Clark and his lab group on research involving the synthesis of oxynitrides.

Neha Jadeja, 2003, (Neurobiology) worked with the organization Nalamdana, an NGO that does health communication and social issue awareness through street theatre in Chennai, India. She worked with women and children in urban slums, raising awareness about nutrition and hygiene.

Christopher Kellner, 2002, (Biology) helped identify and catalogue reptitle and amphibian specimens at the Vietnam National University Zoological Museum in Ha Noi, Vietnam.

Scott Lee, 2003, (Religion and Anthropology) worked with the Ugunja Community Resource Center in Ungunja, Kenya. He assisted with adminstration and training and worked extensively with UCRC's Youth Program.

Matthew Lincoln, 2003, (Biomedical Sciences) traveled to England to perform a study on the genetic epidemiology of multiple sclerosis with Professor George Ebers at the University of Oxford.

Natalie Linos, 2003, (Biochemical Sciences) worked with the Greek Volunteers, an NGO in Pakistan. The NGO was formed to support the Kalasha tribe, believed to be descendents of Alexander the Great. Natalie provided administrative support and taught English to high school students and elementary school teachers.

Page McClean, 2003, (Hispanic Studies/Social Anthropology) worked at Los Chavalitos, a farm/school for orphans and abandoned children in Nicaragua. Page organized a preschool and taught English as a second language.

Yaw Osseo-Asare, 2002, (Mechanical Engineering) was an intern with the international architect, Alero Olympio. He began his designs for a Ghanaian apartment complex in Alero's office in Scotland, and completed his internship in Ghana.

Sue Paik, 2002, (Psychology) secured an internship position with Corporate Editions, a small translation and publication company in Paris, France. Her primary responsibility was to translate business documents from French to English.

Samantha Piper, 2003, (Biology/Neurobiology) went to Mexico to join the Centro Ecologico Akumal Turtle Watch Program in their quest to save the Green and Loggerhead seaturtles from extinction.

Nancy Redd, 2003, (Women's Studies) was an intern with the Commerical Service department of the American Embassy in Brussels, Belgium. Her work included drafting proposals, doing research, and improving their website.

Matthew Rosenberg, 2002, (Computer Science Economics) traveled to Colombia to conduct fieldwork and research under the guidance of the Bogota branch of the United Nations High Comissioner for Refugees.

Kimberly Sanchez, 2003, (Biological Anthropology) was an intern at the Instituto de Defensa Legal in Lima, Peru. She worked within their Communications, Education, and Legal Defense divisions and assisted them with projects promoting and safeguarding human rights and democracy.

Phillip Scherrer, 2002, (Economics) traveled to Munich, Germany to do research for Münchner Ruck, a re-insurance company.

Dominika Seidman, 2003, (Social Studies) worked at as a medical assistant at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Trust in Bhimavaram, India. She assisted doctors with examinations, and also worked at their preschool for underprivileged children.

Poom Siraprapasiri, 2003, (Economics) was an intern at a branch of the Bangkok Bank in Tokyo, Japan where he assisted bank staff in the treasury, customer service, loan, and bills departments.

Claire Sulmers, 2003, (French & African-American Studies) worked as an intern at Sema, a French international corporation that specializes in business technology consulting and systems integration in Montrouge, France. Claire worked in the Department of Information and Documentation.

Beata Ziolkowska, 2002, (Biology) was a staff assistant at the International Institute for Alcholism Education in St. Petersburg, Russia. Beata participated in rehabilitation program activities with the patients, assisted with public relations and grant research, and facilitated collaboration between various centers within Russia.
