Grants and Grantsmanship on the Internet

The Art of Writing Proposals

Written for the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) by Adam Przeworski of New York University and Frank Salomon of the University of Wisconsin , this is an excellent essay on preparing proposals for academic research grants. Although written primarily for SSRC fellowship applicants, the essay's points are easily generalized for applicants for any study or research grants. The authors have considerable experience on review committees, and their candid advice should give potential applicants a new perspective on preparing essays.
